Baltimore County set a new record high in homicides on Tuesday.

Police were called to Stockmill Road in Pikesville for reports of a shooting around 5:15 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman’s murder marked Baltimore County’s 50th homicide in 2021. The previous record high was 49 in 2019.
