Between 5 and 10% of the hospital's staff currently lack immunity from the virus


Jerusalem's Hadassah Medical Center announced on Wednesday that unvaccinated staff members will no longer be allowed to treat patients at the facility, according to The Times of Israel.

As of Sunday, doctors, and nurses who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 or who have acquired some level of immunity while recovering from the virus will find themselves tending to administrative duties at the hospital until further notice.

“We can turn nurses and doctors into administrators or put them in any other jobs we find around the hospital,” a Hadassah spokeswoman told the English-language news outlet, adding they will still receive their contracted salaries. 

Between five and ten percent of the hospital's medical staff - some 300 people - have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 or have recovered from the disease.
