A second child younger than 10 has died from the coronavirus, according to Maryland Department of Health data released Saturday.

No other details were immediately released.

The first coronavirus-related death of a child in Maryland was reported in December when 1-year-old boy died.

There were 3,292 new coronavirus cases and 47 more deaths reported Saturday, which marks the 74th straight day of new cases at or above 1,000.

Maryland has 324,031 cases, 6,369 deaths, 2,705,207 negative tests and 9,451 patients have been released from isolation.

There are 1,821 Marylanders hospitalized, including 412 people in intensive care.Read more at WBAL
