JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In many cities in Israel there are drive-thru coronavirus checking centers where people can stay in their cars until they reach the checkpoint where they are tested and have less chance of being infected by other people waiting to be tested themselves. However for some reason authorities decided that most of the Chareidi community in Israel does not have cars and therefore no drive-thru points were set up for them. Instead, they go to the local HMO clinic where they are tested.

In recent days however with the significant rise in Chareidi infections in Israel, many more Chareidi people are feeling symptoms and going to be tested, causing large and potentially dangerous crowds to form outside testing stations. Even if a large proportion of those being tested are negative, they are in proximity to many positive people and could easily be infected while waiting for their test.
