People in many neighborhoods from Sykesville to Towson are reporting damage from a fast-moving thunderstorm Monday evening.

A storm with wind gusts of 60 mph moved through central Maryland shortly before 5 p.m., leaving behind scattered damage and debris.

In Towson, Joppa Road remains closed west of Bosley Ave and east of the bridge over Charles Street.

A house on Donington Circle is now condemned after a large portion of a tree fell on it.

The Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department reported several trees down in the area.

According to BGE, as of Tuesday morning, several thousand customers were without power because of the storms. View the outage map here.

The Fire Department was responding to a report of a tree the fell into house in the 700 block of Morningside Drive in the Towson area. No injuries were reported.
