Baltimore County, MD – June 19, 2025 – The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Southern Baltimore County, in effect from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM today.

Periods of heavy rainfall are expected this afternoon and evening. Rainfall rates may reach up to 1 inch per hour, with localized totals of 2 to 3 inches possible in areas affected by multiple thunderstorms.

Potential Impacts:

  • Flash flooding may occur in low-lying and flood-prone areas.

    Urban areas and roads with poor drainage are especially vulnerable.

    Rapid rises in creeks and small streams are likely.

    Residents are urged to monitor local weather updates and be prepared to take action if a Flash Flood Warning is issued. Motorists are reminded not to attempt to drive through flooded roadways.
