Jerusalem, Israel - Sept. 6, 2023  - On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, The 2nd Jerusalem Business Conference - Navigate your Business; Strategies & Trends for Success in the New Year was held at the Nefesh BeNefsh Campus located in the Jerusalem Cinema City complex. The original Jerusalem Business Conference was held in conjunction with AACI and was held at the AACI offices in Talpiot in November 2018, also under the leadership of Lesley Kaplan with support from the Jerusalem Post.

Following words of welcome from Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, a video presentation from Jonathan Medved, CEO and Founder of Our Crowd was presented.

The former Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Oren was the keynote speaker mentioning to the English-speaking audience, that he also was an Oleh many years ago. Telling the over 200 participants how he immigrated to Israel and came to serve as a lone soldier long before Nefesh BeNefesh began assisting aliyah when there still was only one Israeli TV channel. Oren also showed his new book "2048" which was available. Later he sat for an extended period of time signing copies that were purchased.

The speakers presented on various topics, including How to Use Paid Ads for Customers by Yoni Alpert, Safeguarding Names and Products by Jeremy M. Ben David, Storytelling by Helen Gottstein, Tax Tips by Binyamin Radomsky, and Tapping to Manifest Money & Abundance demonstrated by Pearl Lopian.

After a dairy buffet lunch served by Muffin Boutique that included freshly toasted bagels and wraps with excellent desserts, plus salads and wraps, the two session options met together in the main hall.

The panel discussion was under the title "Navigate your Business: Strategies & Trends for Success in the New Year."  Moderated by Lesley Kaplan, the panelists were Maayan Hoffman, Deputy CEO, Strategy & Innovation, Jerusalem Post; Yoni Grysman AI Marketing, Penguin Strategeis; and Mark Feldman, Director, Diesehaus Group, Jerusalem, who discussed using AI along with other topics and trends to be aware of.

Lesley Kaplan, co-organizer of the Jerusalem Business Conference, together with AACI, and in cooperation with Nefesh B'Nefesh remarked that "the conference not only went according to our plans and expectations, but even exceeded them. We worked day and night with the goal of producing a top-notch event, dotting all the i's and crossing all the t's. We did our best to cover every single angle, and happily, the hard work paid off. When I hear from those who attended how much value and enjoyment they gained from being at the event, we're very appreciative."

She continued, giving credit to the sponsors "who enabled us to create the event of our dreams" and to the tech team and presenters at the event, as well as to the participants who added to the atmosphere and energy they aimed to create.

"I am a full believer in teamwork. Everyone played their part. We had a full house, and closed online registration 48 hours before the event," said Kaplan. "Business owners in Jerusalem, in particular, women in business, have largely developed the knack for networking at events and conferences. The conference was open to both men and women, and we had a pretty good balance. Connecting and nurturing relationships, in addition to ongoing business development - either frontal or online - is crucial to any serious business owner," she explained as a professional Business Strategy, Branding, and goal-achieving Coach, Consultant, and Trainer.

One big advantage of a live event is the personal networking aspect and opportunities. "Grow your Business Impact through Podcasting" was a popular and well-received afternoon session led by Ahron Wohlgelernter. As one of two event photographers, working in a team with Rebecca Kowalsky, I did not hear the podcast presentation. However, near the end of the full day of programming, we had a chance to speak for a few minutes. What a pleasant surprise to end a busy day! Not only did Ahron attend Ner Israel and marry into a Baltimore family, but he mentioned he was from San Diego. In San Diego, my brother was his Rebbe, and my nephew's his friend. In Jerusalem, at a business event, it is always fascinating to see how the world comes together.
