Jerusalem, Israel - Sept. 6, 2023 - A man in his 50s was seriously wounded and a minor was lightly injured in a stabbing incident near the Jaffa Gate outside Jerusalem's Old City, reports Arutz-7. The attacker, a 17-year-old resident of eastern Jerusalem, was apprehended by the police. The seriously injured man received immediate medical treatment at the scene before being taken to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital. The minor had a superficial injury to his abdomen. First responders, including Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah, were quick to provide life-saving medical interventions.

United Hatzalah volunteers Nissim Ben Shimol and Shmuel Vladimirsky who were among the first responders at the scene said: "We treated one man in his 50s who sustained a stab wound and was in serious condition as well as one other person who was lightly injured in the incident. After receiving initial treatment at the scene the patients were transported to the hospital for definitive care."
