IDF prepares for possible ground operation in Palestinian enclave after Israel rejects Hamas truce offers

The IDF is scrapping weekend leave for combat troops, the army announced on Thursday, with soldiers expected to stay on their bases amid the intensifying Gaza flare-up.

The army also summoned 7,000 reservists, IDF spokesperson said, including those serving in artillery and air defense corps, medical units, military intelligence and administration.

The IDF is also bolstering its presence on the Gaza border with infantry and heavy armor reinforcements.
