Baltimore City Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said to C4 and Bryan Nehman that he would be a part of the meeting between Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott and Gov. Larry Hogan that takes place Thursday.

"There’s always common ground, the question is can we come to a consensus on it," Harrison said.

Harrison said there are always things that a partner, such as the state, can do to help reduce crime in the city. He also spoke on some plans to combat future crime in the summer.

"Each of the nine districts produce a summertime crime plan that zeros in on problem places and problem people," Harrison said. He suggested over time could be used, but the goal is to also have an adequate amount of officers and equipment.

Harrison said he plans to go into Thursday's meeting with a sincere and open mind to talk about progress being made, difficulties police are facing and the help they need to overcome those difficulties. One of the areas the city will ask for help with is infrastructure.
