Baltimore City Police have arrested two teenagers in connection with last week's robbery of Baltimore City Police Deputy Commissioner Daniel Murphy and his wife.

Police Commissioner Michael Harrison told WBAL-TV's David Collins two 16-year-old boys have been arrested, and police are looking for two other juvenile suspects.

Murphy and his wife were robbed last Friday night on Pratt Street near Patterson Park.

The teens arrested are being charged as adults. Both are charged with armed robbery and also face charges of armed carjacking in a separate case.

They were identified as 16-year-old Kahree Fowlkes of the 5100 block of Terrance Drive and 16-year-old Kamal Godwin of the 1400 block of N. Central Avenue.

Fowlkes and Goodwin are currently at Central Booking. They were denied bail.

On Thursday, Murphy made his first public comments about the incident.

"It was certainly a difficult incident, but I'm committed to the work ahead. We are here because there is tremendous need for change in this city, and we are here to transform this police department and help the community. My wife and I are very fortunate to be safe, so many in our community are suffering from far more," Murphy told reporters.

Murphy is in charge of compliance with the Baltimore Police Department consent decree.

Murphy was the first of two Baltimore City Police civilian employees to be robbed in the last week.

On Wednesday morning, a 59-year-old police department employee was beaten and robbed on Albermarle Street, in an attack recorded on surveillance video.

Police are looking for three suspects.
