Baltimore, MD - Aug. 30, 2024 - Maryland State Police will increase patrols on roads across the state this Labor Day weekend to target distracted, impaired and aggressive drivers.

Starting Friday and continuing through Labor Day, state troopers from all 23 barracks will conduct extra patrols across Maryland.

The State Police Impaired Driving Reduction Effort team, otherwise known as the SPIDRE team, will also patrol this weekend to remove impaired drivers from Maryland highways who endanger other motorists.

The initiative includes partnering with allied law enforcement and other state agencies to both enforce the law and reach out to the community through social media and electronic billboards.... Read More: Pikesville Patch
