Towson, MD - Aug. 23, 2024  -  The Baltimore County Department of Public Works & Transportation is informing residents in parts of Glyndon, Reisterstown and Owings Mills that they may briefly experience low water pressure and/or disruption of water service this weekend.

This potential interruption in water service is due to ongoing construction upgrades to the public water system. Construction in the affected communities will take place from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23 to 5 a.m. on Shabbos, Aug. 24.

Baltimore County is working on a major water main project in Reisterstown Road between Pleasant Hill Road and Stockdale Avenue. Crews are working on completing three miles of new 16-inch and 20-inch diameter water main, scheduled for completion in the Winter of 2024 at a cost of approximately $11 million. The County remains committed to improving water infrastructure to ensure long-term reliability and service.

Residents who are experiencing any service interruptions should visit Baltimore County’s Bureau of Utilities website.
