About the Position
Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant assumes an integral role in creating daily meaningful experiences for the children, parents, and staff of the Early Childhood Center program.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent
Skills: Google suites, Microsoft Office, learning management systems/database management
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the Early Childhood office
Provide a warm, nurturing presence to help students feel comfortable and cared for
Provide de-escalation support for students directly or provide backup for the teacher who is working with the student in need
Oversee substitute coverage for absent staff and ensure ratios are met
Monitor the security of ECC entry doors; check students in and out
Substitute in classrooms when needed
Answer ECC phone, monitor and respond to emails from parents and outside therapists
Keep accurate records; enter notes in the database, maintain and organizes files
Maintain current licensing requirements and regulations
Oversee supplies and submits order requests
Support and communicate with parents and staff about student illness and/injuries in coordination with the school nurse
Schedule internal and parent meetings; create a schedule of outside providers
