About the Position

Seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Compliance Specialist role. The Compliance Specialist’s job is to ensure Global Teletherapy is compliant with all state and school regulations. Compliance Specialist maintains and updates documentations regarding credential requirements and oversees the credential approval process. Compliance Specialist is responsible to research credential requirements and provide therapists with clear and thorough resources to onboard quickly. This position requires effective communication via phone and email and collaboration with internal staff for optimal outcomes. The ideal candidate is proactive, innovative, and detail oriented with experience communicating with clients in a professional environment. This position may be completed remotely or in our Pikesville office. If working remotely, the work environment must be quiet and professional.
Job Description:
Collect and maintain documentation regarding credential requirements for positions as required by company policy, federal, or state regulation within a timely manner.
Manage therapist approval process and track approval status as well as state specific processes and contacts. Prioritize and expedite task completion for urgent therapists.
Provide therapists with updated credential checklists to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and clear resources.
Research new background check requirements. Follow up with state boards and school contacts regarding credential and licensure requirements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
Utilize online database to track credential approvals and credential requirements accurately.
Communicate with internal team and management regarding updates to school or state requirements and barriers to timely credential approvals.
Job Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Enthusiastic, strong work ethic, and responsible.
Excellent organization and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Detailed oriented
Innovative and able to problem solve.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs/Google Drive
Education/Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a professional work environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resource Management or related field preferred.
Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education.
