Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist for CPA Firm

About the Position

CPA firm in Baltimore, MD is looking for part time Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist. The Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist will be responsible for preparing and processing client bank reconciliations, client payroll, payroll tax withholding. The candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate reporting to internal and external customers. Ability to work in a team environment, effectively communicate and problem solve.

Key Responsibilities:

Enter, download and post monthly client transactions
Prepare monthly client bank reconciliations
Provide and ensure efficient, accurate, quality service to internal and external contacts.
Process weekly, and bi-weekly payroll for clients.
Prepare and processes payments of state and federal tax withholdings.
Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax forms. Including but is not limited to W-2, 941, 940, MD Unemployment, and 1099.
Experience
• 2 to 4 years' experience in bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, administration of payroll, related payroll tax reporting.

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

Exceptional organizational and analytical skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively and professionally with staff and management.
• Intermediate proficiency and experience using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Advanced proficiency and experience using Quickbooks, Quickbooks online and Quickbooks Payroll.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
