About the Position

Position Summary: As Program Coordinator for Baltimore Yachad, this position is responsible, under the direction of the Atlantic Seaboard Regional Director, for the development and enhancement of programming and to implement the goals of the organization, program promotion, events/outreach coordination, and various tasks that promote inclusion and serve individuals with development disabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate the development, planning, implementation, promotion and evaluation of weekly and seasonal inclusive programming for all Baltimore program divisions (ages 3-35)
Attend and coordinate logistics for all Yachad programs and Chapter events
Coordinate and run Shabbatons, along with Regional Director, Assistant Coordinator, and New York offices
In conjunction with Regional Director, create several opportunities for the Silver Spring and Potomac communities to engage with Yachad
Provide direction to staff, regarding professional growth and improvement of performance
Coordinate and maintain standards of excellence for programs
Assist with membership and oversee intake process
Responsible for overseeing the updating and maintenance of the membership database (MARS), including participants enrolled in programs and other related data, along with accompanying administrative tasks
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant community partners to ensure the growth of Yachad programs and attendance
Supervise Assistant Coordinator, JSU/Yachad Project Coordinator and Assistant, with oversight by Director
Oversee the Assistant Coordinator’s management of High School Leadership Board
Assist with the recruitment of teens and advisors for programs and events
Help and participate in annual Upreaching Campaign
Responsible for overseeing staff on Shabbatons and programs and ensure a safe, productive and inclusive environment for both participants and staff
Other items, as assigned by Regional Director
Job Qualifications:

Knowledge of social services and working with people with disabilities
Excellent with written and oral communication, and great interpersonal skills
Multi-tasker with great time management skills, organized and detail oriented
Programming experience ideal
Computer skills and proficiency with programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and all platforms of social media
Experience working with teens preferred
Bachelor’s degree
Three years of experience preferred
Schedule: This is a full-time position, with flexible working hours, some hours required during the business day and other hours required outside of the typical business day (evenings and Sundays, Shabbatons, etc.); Attendance at all programs is required.
