Jerusalem, Israel - Apr. 20, 2017 - The Tower of David provided an inspirational setting for the "Inspired by Israel" video contest Milstein Awards Ceremony in Jerusalem, Israel, on Tuesday night, after Passover ended.

 

With sponsors, Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation, 12 Tribes Foundation, Jerusalem Wine Club and Root Source, former Baltimorean Avi Abelow, co-founder and CEO of IsraeVideoNetwork.com, presented cash awards to winning film makers. Ten of the international videos were shown, the winners selected from dozens, submitted from around the world, Jewish and none Jewish film makers.

After on-line voting, a panel of judges decided on the winning videos. Ari Abramowitz, film maker and educator, acted as MC. Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat congratulated all on the great work done by "Israel Inspired."


The Grand Prize winner was Home is Never Simple  by Sivan Felder and Batsheva Schahnovitz.

Concluding the program was a beautiful rendition of Hatikvah, featuring former Pikesville resident Ariella Zeitlin on violin.
