One Israeli injured in stabbing attack between Beit Haggai and Otniel; terrorist eliminated.

A Palestinian Arab terrorist stabbed and injured one Israeli south of Hevron on Wednesday, at the Al-Fawar junction, three kilometers (1.86 miles) south of Beit Haggai.

The victim, a man in his twenties, is listed as being in serious condition; he is suffering stab wounds to his upper body.

Magen David Adom (MDA) medics and IDF paramedics gave him emergency medical treatment and transferred him to Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

Security forces shot the terrorist on-site and eliminated him.

"With Civil Administration officials talking about rewarding terror with more and more concessions, we will see a sharp rise, unfortunately, in terror attacks," Yochai Demari, head of the Har Hevron Regional Council, stated in the stabbing's wake. "The terrorists understand that the only way to win is through more terror; the only way to eradicate terrorism is to show them that the equation is completely the opposite."

"I call on the government and its leader to strengthen the settlement movement, and to finally declare communities in Judea and Samaria as part of the State of Israel," he added. "We are one country, one nation."
