Jerusalem, Israel - Sept. 30, 2015 - Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and First Lady Nechama Rivlin greeted guests arriving to the Presidential sukkah on the grounds of Beit Hanasi in Jerusalem, Israel on Wednesday morning.

Traditionally the Israeli President has opened the grounds and its sukkah to the public. This year those who arrived early did not have to wait in long lines.

The large sukkah was decorated simply with Israeli fruits and vegetables. A lulav and estrog were on a small table.

In the gardens were activities geared to children, one area was dedicated to audio stories.Tables were laid out with multiple stamps and stamp pads for creating unique messages. Behind the busts of former Israeli presidents were posters with their historical information.

Colorful pillows were scattered around the grounds for viewing the video presentation, very different from the chairs and stage for live performers of recent years.

Sukkot is one of the few times the public has access to the official Israeli President's residence. Visitors came from around the world for the opportunity to go inside the gates and wander in the gardens and pass through the sukkah.
