Israeli Ambassador to UN hits Secretary-General for blaming stagnant peace talks on Israel.

After UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon stated that, "The 'settlements' are an obstacle to peace," and, "the occupation that oppresses [the Palestinians] must come to an end," Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon responded on Thursday, calling Ki-moon's views "distorted".

Danon stated that, "This is a distorted view of the situation. The obstacle to peace starts and ends with the Palestinian incitement to terrorism, and Mahmoud Abbas' refusal to meet with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

"Instead of directly condemning Hamas and its building of terror tunnels, and instead of investing time and resources in[to] ensuring that the Palestinians end their incitement, the Secretary General chooses to condemn Israel on a regular basis."

This is not the first time that Ki-moon has condemned Israel while holding PA and Hamas terrorists absolutely guiltless.
