While the government is working to increase its deterrence against terrorism, Israel’s High Court and its liberal hashkafa does just the opposite. In response to a petition filed by the Adalah Human Rights Organization, a three-justice panel ruled the bodies of the terrorists from Um el-Fahm who carried out the attack that claimed the lives of two policemen and left a third moderately wounded.

Israel was not willing to release the bodies of the Israeli Arabs for burial as a deterrence to future attacks but the court ruled otherwise. Hence the bodies of the two 19-year-old terrorists and the 29-year-old – all Israeli Arab citizens, will be returned to their respective families for burial.
