The latest batch of winter weather is expected to impact the Baltimore area late Thursday evening.

WBAL-TV 11 News meteorologist Ava Marie said there is a chance snow could begin during Thursday’s evening commute, but most of it is expected overnight.

With temperatures expected to only be in the 20s overnight, Friday morning will likely be the bigger issue as all the snow will stick and untreated roads will be covered and slippery, Marie said.

Marie said most places in the Baltimore area will see about an inch of snow by 8 a.m., with up to 2 inches possible in isolated areas.

Another wave of snow could pass by Friday night or Saturday, though computer models seem to keep most of it south of the area, Marie said.
