Baltimore, MD - Oct. 6, 2016 - There has been a flurry of activity at the Agudah Park Heights for the last couple of days as the community's shaimos are being brought to their final resting place. Although the original estimate was around 2000 bags, two full dumpsters have already been dispatched to the cemetery and the third is currently being filled. Overseen by Rabbi Mordechai Weiskopf, at least half a dozen workers plus members of the community who wanted to take part in the mitzva, have been transferring the shaimos from the basement of the shul to the waiting dumpsters. In preparation for this huge undertaking, cemetery workers have spent the last week preparing a "grave" of 4000 cubic ft, 20 x 20 x 10  the rough equivalent of almost 15 standard graves. It is estimated that the cost of burying the Shaimos will be between $6,000.00 -$10,000.00.

As with all other community projects sponsored by Agudath Israel of Baltimore, Rabbi Moshe Heinemann, shlita, is undertaking this project at no charge to the community. This is a perfect opportunity for members of the Baltimore Community to add extra Zechuyos now in the Asseres Yemai Teshuva by  becoming partners in this Mitzvah with a contribution towards the cost of this mammoth task. Donations can be made in the Agudah lobby or at www.Agudah.com.  Anyone wishing to volunteer assistance, may call 410 358 1234.
