The five-day extended access to Ellicott City’s Main Street for merchants, residents and building owners concluded on Monday night.

On Monday, more than 40 property owners were on site using 62 vehicles to help with the cleanup.

Beginning Tuesday, the Ellicott City Main Street will be closed for three weeks to allow county public works crews and other utility workers time to complete critical work with the goal of reopening Main Street to pedestrian traffic, hopefully around Sept. 16.
