"We recently called HATZALAH because my husband collapsed and we didn't know what to do. They responded within 6 minutes and took such good care of him," Mrs Kaplan, our family friend, told me‎.  Who in our community has not been helped by HATZALAH? I remember when my little brother hit his head on a doorknob and couldn't move. We had to call HATZALAH and they took such good care of him. They even gave him a stuffed animal to help him feel calm!

HATZALAH EMTs are always ready to run and administer medical care at a moments notice. This summer there are new HATZALAH members who don't have their own AED. As my brother who just took Project Ezra's CPR ‎class tells me, an AED is an Automatic External Defibrillator that helps jump-start the heart in case of a heart attack. Every member should have one, but each AED costs close to $500!

On Sunday July 31st from 10-4 we are running a grand YARD SALE to benifit HATZALAH. HATZALAH will have an ambulance parked here  and tours will be available. We will have exciting raffles with prizes donated by my friends who also want to help out PLUS cookies and lemonade for sale! Every penny will go towards puchasing a new AED so that every HATZALA member will be well equipped.

Right now you can help by contributing items in excellent condition to be sold on July 31. Please drop off all your goodies at any time on the side porch of 6108 Stuart Ave. No Clothing Please.

So far we have ‎generous donations of wonderful items from Jen Kaplan, Sarah Wallace, Debbie Goldman, Shoshana Lax, Lizzy Solovey, Reut Frieman, Leah Caplan and other friends that include a desk, a rug, 2 dollhouses, a toddler scooter, books, games, puzzles, vases, stuffed animals, costume jewelry, toys, and so much more!
