Todd Helsig was at work when he got a call that would, at first, make any parent want to faint.

"Your daughter calls you crying, hysterical, you think the worst," the Glenelg man said.

He had two of his kids at home during Tuesday's storm. They were OK, but their home wasn't. An oak tree uprooted and sliced the roughly 60-year-old home nearly in half.

"I'm looking at it, I can't believe it," he told Phil Yacuboski.
