Baltimore, MD - June 7, 2016 - Shomrim Update:

Last night(this morning) at around 3:30 am, a house on Cheswolde Road was broken into. The would-be thief came in through a window, to discovered the homeowner, still awake. The thief stabbed the homeowner, who is now in the hospital and expected to be ok. Police were called, and the crime lab came out.

There have been widespread car breakins around Parkington Avenue in recent weeks. Most of the time, the thieves just are looking for cars that have their doors open and they go through the console looking for electronics.

1 June, 7000 block of Wallis, a house suffered an attempted break in.

The rear screened-in porch door was broken but they did not get in.

30/31 May, there was a series of muggings off of Park Heights. Police responders told a citizen who reported a mugging by three black men who were traveling in a Dodge Durango, that he was the third reported victim that morning. The thieves wielded at least one knife, and attempted to wound the victim.

In other reports the early morning of 30 May (12:30 AM or so), three black men (approximately 18-21 years old) got out of a car and robbed two guys at knife point. They demanded their phones and made them unlock them. The car was described as a small silver 4 door.

Another mugging was reported on Taney and Wallis, the same night.

Night of 28/29 May, multiple cars were ransacked on Wallis off of Seven Mile.

In May, there were numerous reports of car break-ins throughout the area.
