Baltimore, MD – May 11, 2016 –  It was a high adrenaline chase today on  the streets of  Baltimore as a would-be shoplifter attempted to steal merchandise from Seven Mile Market.

Events unfolded at approximately 12:45 PM when an alert shopper noticed a man  exiting the supermarket without paying for the items he had chosen.  The customer alerted store manager Moishe Boehm who followed the 49 year old man into the parking lot, ordering him to drop the merchandise.  Instead, the suspect fled the scene, getting as far as Surrey Drive, while being chased by Boehm, Yaakov Lazear from Seven Mile Market's Meat department and a nearby workman, identified only as Ziv.

Boehm, who had contacted 911 and Shomrim, and Ziv continued the chase to  a dead-end at Surrey when the shoplifter turned around and threatened to harm Boehm. Ziv suggested that he was armed and had no qualms about using his weapon.

Baltimore County Police handcuffed the suspect and placed him under arrest.
