Police say someone crashed a stolen car at an unmanned gate at Fort Meade in Maryland and then fled onto the campus, which is home to the National Security Agency.

Anne Arundel County police say officers pulled over a car near Wednesday night, but the driver sped off.

Police spokesman Lt. Glenn Shanahan says say the car crashed at a gate at Fort Meade and the driver ran onto the base. He says the car was identified as one that had been stolen in a carjacking in Baltimore.
