Baltimore, MD – Jan. 4, 2016 –Do surveillance cameras help? You bet!

Baltimore Shomrim were called numerous times Monday afternoon after a suspicious man was seen walking around the Jewish community taking pictures of homes and walking up to houses and checking the doors.  Surveillance video captured the scene as the man walked to the side door of a house and immediately, upon noticing a security camera,  turned away. He then procceded to the next house over where he broke an entryway to gain access to the house.

About 15 minutes later, a vigilant community member noticed a man kicking in the front door of a house on Greenspring ave.  Knowing the man was up to no good he yelled something towards the man.

The suspect then turned to the man and started following him. The witness then dashed to his car and immediately called 911 and Shomrim. The suspect then disappeared on an adjoining block.

Watch the clear video below as the suspect cases a home in the Greenspring/Ranchleigh area.

If you see this individual, do not approach him.  Call 911 and Shomrim at 410.358.9999
