A coffee shop in San Francisco has issued an apology after a video circulating on social media showing staffers blocking a Jewish woman from a restroom while making anti-Israel comments.
The video recorded by the Jewish woman shows employees at Farley's Coffee standing in front of the door to the bathroom and asking her to leave the establishment.
The employees apparently wanted to prevent the woman from recording graffiti in the bathroom equating Zionism to fascism and accused the woman of "misgendering" an employee. In an apology statement issued on Farley's Coffee's Instagram page Wednesday, the business insisted, "We're not antisemitic," and promised "ongoing staff training" after the incident.

The Commander of the IDF Southern Command, Maj. Gen. Yaron Finkelman lit the menorah on Thursday, the first night of Hanukkah, with the reservists of the 551st Brigade, who are fighting in the Gaza Strip in the Jabalya area.
"This is a long, important, and difficult war, and this is a symbolic moment, lighting the Hanukkah candles," the general told the soldiers.
He noted that "at this time when we are here in Jabalya, our families are singing and lighting candles, and rely on us and are proud of us."
"You are the Maccabees of our day; you are the commanders who lead the soldiers, the Maccabees of our day, and we will continue onward to victory," Finkelman concluded.

After decades of struggles and challenges, in Parshat Vayeshev Yaakov Avinu aims to settle down and live peacefully. Instead, the conflict between Yosef and his brothers rips Yaakov’s family apart.
Triggered by Yaakov’s favoritism for Yosef, as well as Yosef’s dreams, the brothers plot to murder Yosef in cold blood. Eventually, they relent and instead (“only”) sell him into slavery.
The scourge of “sinat chinam” — baseless hatred” that began with Yosef and his brothers did not end there. Over a thousand years later, it caused the destruction of the second Beit Hamikdash.[1] The Zohar connects these two episodes, teaching that the twenty-two days between the 17th of Tammuz and the 9th of Av were caused by the twenty-two yea...

A multi-billion-dollar budget shortfall could cut transportation projects short, limit transit options, and raise parking prices, according to a new proposal from the Maryland Department of Transportation.
The six-year transportation plan includes at least a $2 billion funding shortfall, and the proposed cuts could impact a large swath of services and plans. According to the proposal from MDOT, the agency must seek a $3.3 billion reduction in planned state Transportation Trust Fund expenditures over the next six years.
“Simply put, the department’s operating costs are expected to increase seven percent annually while our revenues increase one percent per year,” said MDOT Secretary Paul Wiedefeld in a letter. “And just like Maryland families are doing, we must tigh...

We must all put aside our differences, no matter how stark they may seem, and f...

While these cameras may not prevent car thefts, they are expected to alert the Baltimore Police Department when a stolen vehicle enters their vicinity, allowing for proactive response to the issue. The hope is that this initiative will deter criminals and improve neighborhood safet...

The terrorists also came into Israel with detailed battle plans that included maps of the internal structures of military bases and civilian towns, extensive lists of weaponry and equipment used by each of its units, and checklists for killing and capturing men, women and children, according to The Washington Post report.
