Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) is projected to win her bid for reelection to the U.S. Senate, defeating fellow Republican Kelly Tshibaka.
The Associated Press called the race just after 8 p.m.
Murkowski, who has served in the upper chamber since 2002, drew the ire of former President Trump after voting to convict him in his second impeachment trial. Trump subsequently backed Tschibaka in an effort to oust the incumbent.
The results of the race took weeks to be announced due to Alaska’s newly introduced ranked-choice voting system, in which voters rank their candidates by preference.

Republicans’ House majority in the next Congress climbed to 220 on Tuesday, when Republican Kevin Kiley defeated his Democratic opponent, Kermit Jones, in the tight race for California’s 3rd Congressional District.
The Associated Press called the race for Kiley on Tuesday afternoon, two weeks after voters headed to the polls to cast their ballots in the eastern California district. Kiley, a California State Assembly member, won with 53 percent of the vote.
Kiley’s win brings Republicans’ House majority to 220, while Democrats currently hold 212 seats. Three races are still uncalled by the AP: California’s 13th District, Alaska’s at-large district and Rep. Lauren Boebert’s (R) Colorado district.

Jerusalem, Israel - Nov. 23, 2022 - How’s your day going? Because it’s 7:41 am here and multiple people waiting for a bus in Jerusalem are now being treated in the hospital for severe injuries after an Arab terrorist detonated a bomb in their bus stop. But you won’t hear about it so thought I should let you know.

Over 12 hours after two bombing attacks in Jerusalem, Israel's security forces still do not know who carried out the attacks and which terror group they belong to, Kan 11 News reported.
Security sources said that the lack of knowledge underlines the intelligence failures in connection to the attack, which was planned by a cell that has experience in producing explosive devices.
It was also reported that as part of the investigation of the attacks, a suspicion was raised - due among other things to the proximity of the scene to those areas - that the terrorists in question are residents of Jerusalem and hold Israeli identity cards. Galai Tzahal (IDF Radio) crime reporter Hadas Steif, who reported on the deadly double bombing in Jerusalem this morning and hinted that the decision to appoint Otzma Yheudit chairman MK Itamar Ben-Gvir as Israel's Public Security Minister is to blame for the attack.

A shooter opened fire in a Walmart in Virginia, leaving six people dead, police said, in the country's second high-profile mass killing in a handful of days. The assailant is also dead.
The store in Chesapeake was busy just before the shooting Tuesday night with people stocking up ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, a shopper told a local TV station.
In addition to the six killed, four were injured.
Police Chief Mark Solesky said the shooter was a Walmart employee. The chief said the shooter used a pistol during the shooting.
The unidentified shooter likely died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, he said.

Hundreds of people attended the Wednesday afternoon funeral of 15-year-old Aryeh Schupak, a resident of Jerusalem's Har Nof neighborhood who was killed in a bombing at the entrance to Jerusalem on Wednesday morning.
Schupak studied in the Beit Meir yeshiva, and held Canadian citizenship. He was killed next to his good friend, who he traveled to yeshiva with each morning and who suffered injuries in the bombing.
Schupak's father said, "I just want to tell my son, Aryeh, goodbye. I apologize to you. G-d gave, and G-d took. He was a child who taught us a lesson."
