Baltimore City settled a lawsuit with the nation's largest manufacturer of ghost guns. The mayor's office released a statement Wednesday morning stating that the city reached a $1.2 million settlement over its 2022 lawsuit against Polymer80 that accused the company of marketing "build your own" gun kits to minors, criminals, gun traffickers and others who need to circumvent background checks. The city said the settlement will prohibit the company from advertising and selling ghost guns, which are untraceable firearms, in Maryland. Additionally, the settlement bans dealers in nearby states from selling ghost guns to Maryland residents and ceases all customer support in Maryland. Baltimore, MD - Feb. 21, 2024 - (WMAR2News) The House Judiciary Committee held a lengthy hearing on a bill proposed by Delegate Dalya Attar, aiming to alter the membership of the Maryland Commission on Hate Crimes Response and Prevention. Attar's bill seeks to replace the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) with two members from the Muslim community. She cited concerns about CAIR's stance on certain issues, including LGBTQ-inclusive books and social media posts regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict. Jewish organizations supported the bill, while CAIR and other groups opposed it.  The committee will need to vote on the bill for it to advance.

United Airlines informed the Israel Airports Authority (IAA) on Wednesday of its intention to return to Israel in less than two weeks. United Airlines is expected to take off from New York to Tel Aviv on March 2nd, with the first flight from Tel Aviv to New York scheduled for March 3rd. The company stopped its flights on October 8th with the outbreak of the war and is the first US company to resume it flights on this route. Delta Airlines informed the IAA of its intention to return to Israel on May 1st. But a recent audit found the school system paid more than $823,000 to employees who shouldn’t have been on the payroll. “This is simple.
