Division of Unemployment Insurance operations were greatly impacted due to the COVID pandemic, the Department of Legislative Services said, which increased unemployment insurance activity, requiring an expansion and modification of multiple operations. Baltimore has reached 300 homicides for the eighth consecutive year. The Baltimore Police Department said a 34-year-old man was shot around 10:30 p.m. last night in the 3400 block of Spelman Road in the Cherry Hill neighborhood. When officers arrived to the scene, police said they found the 34-year-old suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was take to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
