Every word, every letter in the Torah is used for a specific reason and purpose. We are reminded of this concept often through the teachings of Chazal where they will derive significant meanings from a word missing a letter, which it would customarily have (chaser), or a word having an “extra” letter - one which it normally would not have (maleh). The Gemarah goes even further and teaches us that Hashem told Moshe Rabeinu that not only were nekudos important but that one day, a great man named Rebbi Akiva will learn halachos out of the “crowns” written on top of the letters in the Torah (Menachos 29b). This idea is driven home quite clearly in Parshas Bo.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) downed a drone crossing into the Israeli airspace from Lebanon, the army said on Friday.
The unmanned aerial vehicle had been monitored throughout the entire incident.

A stone plaque is posted on the US Embassy on Agron Street dated May 14, 2019, when the Consulate building became the US Ambassador to Israel's Residence in Jerusalem. The Bidens moved quickly on Wednesday to fire White House chief usher Timothy Harleth, who was installed by the Trumps, two sources with knowledge have confirmed to CNN.
Harleth was hired by Melania Trump in 2017 to fill the important role of chief usher. Harleth came to the White House from Trump International Hotel DC, where he was rooms manager.
First lady Jill Biden’s office did not immediately respond to a CNN request for comment.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said Thursday that she has filed articles of impeachment against President Biden, only a day after he was sworn into office.
The text of Greene’s articles of impeachment specifying any impeachable offenses committed by Biden was not immediately available. Vice President Harris’s move into a home on the Naval Observatory’s grounds in northwest Washington, D.C., has been delayed because it is in need of repairs.
Her office told Politico on Wednesday evening that the traditional vice president’s residence at One Observatory Circle needs to have its chimney liners replaced and other household maintenance now that former Vice President Mike Pence and his family have moved out. The delay will “allow for repairs to the home that are more easily conducted with the home unoccupied.”
The Hill has reached out to the White House for comment.

Twitch, the popular livestreaming app, has indefinitely banned former President Trump‘s account, a company spokesperson confirmed to The Hill on Wednesday.
“We have indefinitely suspended President Trump’s Twitch channel due to the ongoing risk of further incitement of violence,” reads a statement from Twitch, which was released to The Hill after President Biden was sworn into office.
“The President’s statements continue to be interpreted as calls to action, and we are taking this action to remove the potential for harm to our community and the general public,” it adds.
