New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo asked Pfizer chief executive Albert Bourla on Monday if the state can purchase additional doses of the coronavirus vaccine directly from the company.
In a press conference Monday, Cuomo slammed the Trump administration for the slow rollout of the vaccine, which is providing doses to states.
“The problem was created by the federal negligence in the first place,” he said, according to Fox Business. “The federal government is in control of the supply. They must increase the supply. Approve Johnson & Johnson, expedite that. Buy more Pfizer. Buy more Moderna.”

Former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh is seeking clemency from President Donald Trump.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice website, Pugh's request to have her three-year prison sentence commuted is pending. Trump is expected to issue about 100 pardons and commutations before he leaves office Wednesday.

The incoming Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director said Sunday that she expects the U.S. will reach 500,000 COVID-19 deaths by mid-February.
Rochelle Walensky, President-elect Joe Biden’s named CDC director, told CBS News’ “Face The Nation” that she “unfortunately” agrees with outgoing CDC Director Robert Redfield that the pandemic is going to get worse.
She noted the U.S. has reached nearly 4,000 deaths a day and almost 400,000 coronavirus deaths total.

In an interview, Pindrus told 103 FM that, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky said both last week and this week that schools should close. However, he added that parents still have an obligation to teach their children Torah. "If a few neighbors get together and learn Torah together, that's a good and healthy thin," he added. "But I think that schools should not open."

Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, entrepreneur, and, dubbed last week the world’s wealthiest man, gave a boost to an Israeli startup company when he commented last week on a video clip showcasing its robots.
