At noon on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, greeted US Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, and United Arab Emirates Minister of State for Financial Affairs Obaid Humaid Al Tayer for historic trilateral meetings. Due to the current corona situation, the meetings were held at the Ben Gurion airport.
Documents signed by the various ministers included agreements on business, economy, and travel. A visa will not be required for individuals flying from Israel to UAE or from the UAE to Israel. Israel is expected Tuesday to reduce some coronavirus restrictions left in place in areas with high infection rates, following a decline in the spread of the virus.

Just recently, the Health Ministry announced a method for receiving exemptions from quarantine based on serological (antibodies) testing. This move was hailed as a significant benefit for many who had contracted Covid 19 abroad, but did not have a recognized PCR positive test.
Now, only a few short days later, Health Ministry representatives have notified Chaim V’Chessed officials that this new process has been suspended. No meaningful reason has been given for this surprising change. Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are set to sign Tuesday a little after noon a landmark peace treaty, brokered by the US, in a formal ceremony at the Ben Gurion International Airport near the city of Lod.

Donald Trump’s re-election campaign lashed out at the Commission on Presidential Debates about the topics and potential rule changes for the president’s final face-off against Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
In a two-page letter to the commission, Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien stopped short of threatening to withdraw from the Thursday debate but said the non-partisan commission’s “pro-Biden antics have turned the entire debate season into a fiasco.”
“For the good of campaign integrity and for the benefit of the American people, we urge you to rethink and reissue a set of topics, with an emphasis on foreign policy,” Stepien wrote in the letter, which was dated Monday and posted on his Twitter account.

President Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden will have their microphones cut off in Thursday’s debate while their rival delivers their opening two-minute answer to each of the debate topics.
The 90-minute debate is divided into six 15-minute segments, with each candidate granted two minutes to deliver uninterrupted remarks before proceeding to an open debate. House Republicans on Monday urged Attorney General William P. Barr to appoint a special counsel to probe allegations stemming from a laptop reportedly belonging to Joseph R. Biden’s son Hunter.
The lawmakers want Mr. Barr to probe claims that the elder Biden played a role in his son’s alleged lucrative business dealings in Ukraine and China.
They say the American people deserve to know whether the former vice president “received foreign monies during his tenure in the Obama administration” and if he “allowed his son to peddle access” to him with foreign business entities.

CVS Health announced on Monday that it plans to hire 15,000 employees nationwide to better support communities during the fall and winter when the number of COVID-19 and flu cases are projected to rise.
A majority of the roles – more than 10,000 of the positions – will be full- and part-time licensed pharmacy technicians that are considered "vital to administering COVID-19 tests," the company said.

According to a report by Campus Reform, the Biden Center at UPenn is facing heightened scrutiny this week over a series of gifts from China that were not properly disclosed to the federal government.
The center, which is named for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, reportedly accepted a $22 million gift from an anonymous Chinese donor. Under federal law, foreign gifts over $250,000 must be disclosed to the government. Additionally, the name of the donor must be listed in the disclosure.

A federal judge in Washington D.C. on Sunday struck down changes the Tump administration made to to federal food stamps that could have ended the benefits for almost 700,000 people, CNN reported.
In the decision, Chief U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell wrote that the Department of Agriculture was “icily silent” about how many would have been denied the benefits, according to The Washington Post.
