The jihadist Islamic State (IS) group on Sunday blasted recent agreements to normalize relations between Israel and the Gulf countries, and called for attacks in Saudi Arabia.
In an audio recording broadcast on the organization’s Telegram channel and attributed to its spokesperson Abu Hamza El Qourachi, ISIS believes that the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain have betrayed Islam by normalizing their relations with Israel.

Israel added 892 new COVID-19 coronavirus infections on Sunday, the country's Health Ministry reported Monday, putting the country's cumulative total of infections throughout the pandemic at 303,846.
With just over 27,000 tests conducted over the past 24 hours, the positive test ratio stood at 3.5 percent.
The death toll in the country rose to 2,209, with no new fatalities added to the count since Sunday evening in the early morning update.

A senior US official traveled to Syria to conduct secret talks on the release of US citizens thought to be in Syria's captivity, US media reported Sunday.
According to the Wall Street Journal, a deputy aide to US President Donald Trump and a top White House counterterrorism official, visited Syria to discuss the fate of at least two US nationals.
The newspaper identified the two as Austin Tice, a journalist and a former Marine, who disappeared in Damascus in 2012 and Majd Kamalmaz, a Syrian-American therapist who was last seen being stopped at a government checkpoint in 2017.
