NEW YORK (JNS/RABBI MARVIN HIER) – One of the most frightening twists of the global coronavirus pandemic is the worldwide uptick in anti-Semitism. This almost included a prime-time slot on Fox’s “Soul TV” for America’s most notorious anti-Semite, Louis Farrakhan. Just a few days ago in his Final Call magazine, Farrakhan’s defenders tried to cover up some of their leaders most notorious anti-Semitic rants. When he called Hitler a “great man,” they wrote that he just meant great in “power” for raising up Germany from nothing. This comes on top of the recent Oxford University study showing that nearly 20 percent of those polled blame Jews for starting COVID-19. With some explaining that Jews can make money from the vaccine that cure...
President Donald Trump in an email to supporters Monday encouraged the use of face masks. “We are all in this together, and while I know there has been some confusion surrounding the usage of face masks, I think it’s something we should all try to do when we are not able to be socially distanced from others,” he said. “I don’t love wearing them either. Masks may be good, they may be just O.K., or they may be great. They can possibly help us get back to our American way of life that so many of us rightfully cherished before we were so terribly impacted by the China virus.” Read more at NEWSMAX.

The Manhattan district attorney’s office on Monday hinted that its subpoena for President Trump‘s tax returns is part of an investigation into “possibly extensive and protracted criminal conduct at the Trump Organization,” including potential fraud allegations detailed in media reports in recent years. Construction and Housing Minister Yaakov Litzman (United Torah Judaism) on Tuesday accused the government of discriminating against religious Jews in its coronavirus policies. Speaking at the Knesset plenum Tuesday morning, Litzman told Yesh Atid-Telem MK Yorai Lahav-Hertzano that the policy of permitting mass gatherings for protests and demonstrations while strictly limiting the size of prayer groups is a de facto form of discrimination against the religious sector. “They don’t let me – my public – do what they allow you to do,” said Litzman. “You can protest outside all night long against the law, even when the law permits protests, despite it being dangerous, with 10,000 or 20,000 people. I’m not allowed to bring even 30 people to a synagogue...

The U.S. government’s top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, on Monday said states with high coronavirus case counts should reconsider imposing lockdown restrictions, emphasizing the need to get cases to a low baseline before the fall flu season. In some states with moderate case counts, experts are seeing “that same insidious increase in percent positive that we had seen and pointed out … in states like Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Minnesota and others,” Fauci said during an interview with the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). Fauci said last week that he was seeing signs the surge of COVID-19 cases could be peaking in the South and West while other areas were on the cusp of new outbreaks. Those states should consider pausing or rollin...
