Meta (META.O), opens new tab said on Friday it was rolling back some restrictions that had applied to former U.S. President Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts.
The social media company indefinitely suspended Trump's accounts following his praise of people who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. The company then reinstated his accounts in early 2023, saying it would monitor Trump's posts for further violations that could result in another suspension of between one month and two years.
Trump, who is running against U.S. President Joe Biden, will no longer be subject to the additional monitoring, Meta said.
"In assessing our responsibility to allow political expression, we believe that the American people should be able to hear fro...

Adam Platt, a technologist and founder of plattsoft.net, writes about a time when his CEO called for a company-wide meeting to congratulate the group about the good month that they had as a company. The CEO dimmed the conference room lights and told the following story: “When I was a child, I would cut the grass for my father. Back then, we only had a manual lawn mower, which took a lot of effort to push. I would work under the hot sun, cutting every last blade of grass. When my father saw the great work I had done, he would take me to 7-Eleven, hand me a quarter, and I would run to the counter to claim my reward, a Slurpee!”Platt relates that his CEO used this personal story to show that hard work, indeed, should be rewarded. The CEO went on to say how everyone in the company ...

The Torah refers to an account recorded in 'the Book of Wars of G-d; "את והב — The gift of בסופה — [the Sea] of Reeds and the rivers of Arnon; the outpouring of the rivers when it veered to dwell at Ar, and leaned against the borders of Moab. And from there to the well — it is the well of which G-d said to Moshe. 'Assemble the people and I shall give them water.' Then Israel sang this song; "Come up, O well! Call out to it!"
This miracle, which is equated in its greatness to the splitting of the Sea of Reeds is described in both the Midrash and the Talmud. From a composite of both sources, we can gather the following. (ברכות נה רש"י בשם התנחומא)
There was a deep and very narrow gorge between two high mountains. The route of ...

Miriam died there and was buried there …The whole congregation saw that Aaron had expired, and the entire house of Israel wept for Aaron for thirty days (Bamidbar 20:1,29)
It was the close of a generation. We read of the passing of Miriam and Aharon, the sister and brother of Moshe Rabbeinu and, in many respects, the partner-leaders of the Jewish nation. In addition to this necessary piece of historical information, Rashi explains that the passing of Miriam contains an important message. Why is the passage relating Miriam’s death juxtaposed with the passage of the Red Cow? To teach you that just as sacrifices bring atonement, so the d...
