Two weeks ago, a New York judge ordered Donald Trump to pay a huge penalty of $355 million plus interest — a grand total of more than $450 million — after finding him liable for fraudulently inflating his wealth.
But now that it’s time to produce such an amount, Trump’s legal team is undercutting both his and their own claims about his ability to do so.
In a filing Wednesday, Trump’s lawyers asked for a delay and offered to post a bond of just $100 million rather than the full amount. They called the full amount a “facially absurd” judgment and added that its terms preventing him from obtaining loans “make it impossible to secure and post a complete bond.”

A federal judge has blocked Texas from enforcing a new law that would make illegal immigration a state crime.
Federal judge David Ezra on Thursday granted a preliminary injunction that will block Texas' SB4 from taking effect next week. The law would allow state authorities to arrest and jail illegal immigrants, and would give state judges the power to order deportations.
In his ruling, the judge wrote that states "may not exercise immigration enforcement power except as authorized by the federal government."

The White House responded to the incident this morning (Thursday) in which dozens of Gazans were trampled as they swarmed trucks delivering humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
Calling the trampling a "serious incident," the US National Security Council stated that “the loss of innocent life and recognize the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, where innocent Palestinians are just trying to feed their families.”
It further stated that the incident “underscores the importance of expanding and sustaining the flow of humanitarian assistance into Gaza, including through a potential temporary ceasefire. We continue to work day and night to achieve that outcome.”

The IDF on Thursday reported that as aid trucks were brought into northern Gaza on Thursday morning, Gazan residents gathered around the trucks, acting violently and looting the supplies.
"Early this morning, during the entry of humanitarian aid trucks into the northern Gaza Strip, Gazan residents surrounded the trucks, and looted the supplies being delivered," the IDF confirmed. "During the incident, dozens of Gazans were injured as a result of pushing and trampling."
"The incident is under review."
According to the reports, some of the masses neared the IDF troops in a dangerous fashion, threatening to harm the troops.
The soldiers, whose job it was to allow safe distribution of the aid, felt threatened by the masses and responded with live fire.

Two people were murdered in a terrorist shooting attack at a gas station at the entrance to Eli in Binyamin this afternoon (Thursday), Magen David Adom reported.
According to the initial reports, there were one or two terrorists armed with an M-16 assault rifle. The attacker or attackers were neutralized.
Eli Settlement Committee Chairman Ariel Elmaliach said, "This is a serious attack. After the attack a year ago at the Eli gas station, another attack took place there. Now the security forces, together with the security coordinator of the settlement of Eli, are conducting searches on the spot. Unfortunately, the writing was on the wall."

According to the report, Finkelstein Metals is accused of receiving prohibited government subsidies and selling products in the US at inflated prices.
