PA President Mahmoud Abbas’s accusation that America backed Israel’s creation to expel its Jews is outrageous, US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield said on Wednesday as she denounced antisemitic and racist rhetoric fueling Israeli-Palestinian violence.
Abbas’s “claim that the United States ‘wanted to get rid of the Jews and benefit from their presence in Palestine’ is totally without basis and it is deeply offensive to the American people,” Thomas-Greenfield told the Security Council during its monthly meeting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The system that is supposed to warn of the approach of Iranian drones and cruise missiles has been disabled for six months, Kan 11 News reported this evening (Wednesday).
The new and unique system, called "Tal Shemayim" was placed in the north of the country by the Defense Ministry a year and a half ago with the aim of detecting Iranian drones and cruise missiles. Last winter the observation balloon ruptured as a result of a storm, and it is not known when the system will return to operational activity.

Attorneys for Donald Trump complained to Attorney General Merrick Garland on Tuesday that the former president is being treated unfairly in the Department of Justice’s investigations into Trump by special counsel Jack Smith, and they requested a meeting with Garland.
Smith, appointed by Garland in November, is overseeing investigations into Trump’s handling of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and on allegations Trump tried to overthrow the 2020 presidential election result.

In a memo that has yet to be officially released, Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison details how his department plans to enforce the youth curfew in the city this summer.
The policy says that youth found violating the curfew will be warned three times, in two languages if possible, about leaving the area. Children violating the curfew will be taken to Youth Connection Centers, but only if they consent to it, according to the policy.
Body-worn cameras must be activated before the announcement is made, according to the policy.
The policy also says that officers are not to take youth into custody if the only law they violate is the curfew.

Islamic Jihad leader Ziad al-Nakhala claimed on Tuesday that senior members of the organization were eliminated by Israel in the recent round of fighting in Gaza because they negligently kept their cellphones with them.

According to multiple reports, the Florida governor will make the announcement during a discussion with Twitter CEO Elon Musk.
