Baltimore, MD - May 23, 2023 - (CBS Baltimore) The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced on Tuesday that they are intensifying efforts to curb illegal dirt bike riding. The department stated that many of these unregistered vehicles, including minibikes and all-terrain vehicles, cause noise and nuisance in the community. BPD arrested 11 individuals for dirt bike violations in April and charged an additional 17 for various crimes, with the individuals ranging from 17 to 46 years old. The department also seized 180 illegal vehicles in 2022 and 50 in 2023 so far. Violators are being charged under Article 19, Subtitle 40 of the Baltimore City Code. BPD intends to continue its focus on dirt bike violations throughout the summer, also addressing street racing and dirt bike riding complaints...

Ukraine is suffering a tremendous loss of 10,000 drones each month, largely due to Russia’s electronic warfare — a “critical” component of Moscow’s military tactics, a recent report said.
Russia’s use of tech defense systems has contributed to the staggering loss of Ukrainian aerial drones — approximately 10,000 each month, according to the latest Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) report.
Russia deployed a high density of electronic warfare equipment in Donbas in 2022. They have since increased their supply.

Sales of new U.S. single-family homes jumped to a 13-month high in April, boosted by a persistent shortage of previously owned houses on the market, though sales for the prior month were not as strong as previously thought.
New home sales increased 4.1% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 683,000 units last month, the highest reading since March 2022, the Commerce Department said on Tuesday. March's sales pace was revised lower to 656,000 units from the previously reported 683,000. The government revised the sales, inventory and months' supply data going back to January 2018.
New home sales are counted at the signing of a contract, making them a leading indicator of the housing market. They, however, can be volatile on a month-to-month basis.

Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake’s last legal challenge of her loss in the state’s 2022 governor’s race has been dismissed.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson ruled that Lake did not prove that Maricopa County did not verify signatures on mail-in ballots as law requires. Lake, a Republican, refused to concede after Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) was declared the winner in their race by about 17,000 votes and launched multiple legal challenges that have already been mostly dismissed.
The Arizona Supreme Court had revived one challenge Lake made to the mail-in ballots in Maricopa — the largest county in the state, making up more than 60 percent of its voters.

In Meseches Nida 30b it says a child in not born until he swears that he will keep the Torah. He will be a Tzaddik not a Rasha. The question arises why do we make the child swear a person already swore at mattan Torah on Shavuos that he will keep the Torah and therefore the Shvua one swears before he is born is not chal as he is mushba ve’omed me’har Sinai.

Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, long a proponent of mental health awareness, has issued a warning that social media use is a main contributor to depression, anxiety and other problems in the nation's teenagers.
The report, released Tuesday, calls attention to growing concerns about the effects of social media use on children and adolescent's mental health. The advisory urges policymakers and the companies that make the social media platforms to share with parents the burden of managing children's and adolescents’ social media use.

Not only between warring nations is this evident, but even within sovereign nations where political factions vying for control spew angry words of hatred. The rising of ugly expressions of those who despise Israel and Jews is becoming more prevalent and more blatant. Iran on Monday weighed in on National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s visit to the Temple Mount, the Xinhua news agency reported.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned the visit and called on the Muslim world and international community to take "effective, immediate and deterrent" action in response to Israel's "presumptuous and provocative" activities.
The statement came after Ben Gvir visited the Temple Mount on Sunday morning under heavy police security, in honor of the beginning of the Jewish month of Sivan.

Leo Dee, who lost his wife and two of his daughters in a terror attack, has announced that he will sue CNN for comments claiming they were "killed in a shootout."

A man is facing several charges after he reportedly drove a U-Haul truck into security barriers near the White House in D.C., the United States Park Police (USPP) said.
Shortly after 10 p.m., Sai Varshith Kandula, 19, of Chesterfield, Missouri, crashed the truck into security barriers on the north side of Lafayette Square at 16th Street, Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi said.

Turkish intelligence has uncovered a cell of 15 people allegedly working for Israel’s Mossad against Iranian targets in the country, local media reports.
According to the Daily Sabah website, Turkey’s national intelligence agency, MIT, uncovered the 15-person cell after an 18-month operation. It includes at least one person who had received training in Israel, the report says.
The report says at least 11 people have been detained and searches are ongoing for other members.
The report identified the leader of the cell as Selçuk Küçükkaya, a local businessman, and released pictures of him.
Last year Turkey also claimed to have broken up a Mossad ring and put 15 people on trial for espionage.

Shooting attack with no injuries: Terrorists opened fire on Monday evening at an Israeli vehicle that was traveling between the communities of Tapuah and Migdalim in Samaria.
Two bullets hit the vehicle. The terrorists fled the scene.IDF soldiers have started searches for them.
A mother and her four daughters were in the vehicle at the time of the attack. The mother continued driving after the attack and stopped when she spotted the security forces.
In footage from the attack, shots can be heard fired at the vehicle, and the woman shouting to her daughters, "Get down, get down. Girls, are you all right?"
