Maryland first lady Dawn Moore revealed for the first time this week that she's living with multiple sclerosis, according to a statement from the governor's office.
Moore, whose husband Wes Moore became Maryland's governor in January, said she was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease in her late twenties, which "completely changed her life."
Dawn Moore also revealed her illness is currently in remission, according to her statement.
"Through my journey, I learned that everyone has a different course when living with the disease. I believe it's important that we all share our survival stories to help change the narrative about living with multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases," Dawn Moore said. In a change of events, it looks as if the contaminated water from the recent Ohio train derailment won't be treated through the Baltimore Clean Harbors plant.
Charles Heart, general manager of Clean Harbors, told 11 News Tuesday morning that the company will not take the water from the Ohio train derailment site without approval from officials.
Multiple Baltimore City and County officials have expressed their thoughts on the possible treatment in Maryland's system, calling it a potential environmental hazard.

President Isaac Herzog has summoned the negotiating teams of the coalition and Yesh Atid and National Unity parties to his official residence at 7:30 this evening (Tuesday) for negotiations on the government's planned judicial reforms.
Later this week, the president is expected to meet with the other parties' representatives.
The Likud party announced that its negotiating team will consist of Minister Ron Dermer, government secretary Yossi Fuchs, and Dr. Aviad Bakshi, the director of the legal department in the Kohelet Policy Forum. As Pesach drew near, my dear parents thought it would be much easier for me to observe Pesach according to halacha with my uncle, Amos Guetta, in Rome. And so I arrived at the home of Amos and Smadar and their daughters, was introduced to the Jewish community of Rome, and attended services at Beit El, their Tripolitanian synagogue. On Tuesday, the Knesset passed the Chametz Law in its second and final readings, restoring the situation to the way it was before the Supreme Court intervened several years ago, prohibiting hospital directors from hanging signs asking people not to bring Chametz onto the premises during Pesach.
Pesach this year begins next Wednesday at sundown.

A group of left-wing activists who organized protests against the now-frozen judicial reforms have vowed to bring Chametz into hospitals on Pesach to protest the passage of the 'Chametz Law' on Tuesday.
"The trembling tyrant and his draft evaders have now sneakily passed in the third reading the law prohibiting the bringing of Chametz into hospitals on Pesach," attacked the organizers.

Dozens of Arab terrorists rioted for hours on Monday night on the main road leading through the town of Huwara in Samaria, the setting for three shooting attacks in the past few months, one of which was fatal in the cases of Hallel and Yagel Yaniv Hy"d.
Multiple Jewish-owned cars driving through Huwara in order to access their homes were targeted by Arabs throwing rocks. One driver, Yaakov, is a volunteer with United Hatzalah who lives in the area and was making his way to the Tapuah Junction when he found himself under attack. I was shocked to read that people in Israel can gain as much as 6-7 kilograms (13-15 pounds) over the Passover holiday. What bothered me more however was seeing statistics decades ago about the amount of cardiac calls that Magen David Adom has to deal with before and during Passover. The most of any two week period in any given year. None of this has to be! There is NO mutual exclusivity here. One can observe Pesach fully with all of its laws and customs and not damage one’s health. As a matter of fact, you can even use this wonderful period of of family time to enhance your health. Remember that one of the aspects of lifestyle medicine integral to health is social integration as well as relaxation and de-stressing.

The three students shot and killed at a Nashville, Tennessee, school were just nine years old. Metro Nashville Police identified the children as Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney.
In addition to the students, three staff members at The Covenant School were killed: Cynthia Peak 61, Katherine Koonce, 60, and Mike Hill 61.
The shooting was first reported at 10:13 a.m. Metro Nashville Police Department’s Don Aaron said a five-member team arrived at the scene minutes later. They reportedly heard gunshots come from the second level of the school.
Aaron said the officers engaged the shooter, who has been identified as 28-year-old Audrey Hale. Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake said the shooter was trans.

City officials may have found a way to stop the discharge of toxic waste from the Ohio train derailment into Baltimore's system.
Some local elected officials and state lawmakers are trying to prevent the treatment and discharge of the material into the Back River.
Thirty-eight cars of a Norfolk Southern train carrying hazardous materials derailed on Feb. 28 in eastern Ohio. EMT Naftali Schischa was awarded the New York State Liberty Medal on Friday for saving a passenger’s life on a flight from New York City to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Hamodia reported.
Schischa, a volunteer with Hatzoloh of Rockland, was honoured with the medal by state Senator Bill Weber. It is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a resident of New York by a state senator.
The incident occurred on January 25 when a female passenger on Flight 571, which took off from LaGuardia, collapsed while in the aisle.
Schischa acted heroically by intervening with medical aid, saving the woman’s life. His quick thinking allowed the plane to continue on its way without having to make an emergency landing, according to the news outlet.

A female shooter wielding two “assault-style” rifles and a pistol killed three students and three adults at a private Christian school in Nashville on Monday in the latest in a series of mass shootings in a country growing increasingly unnerved by bloodshed in schools.
