Supervisors in Arizona’s Maricopa County voted unanimously to certify their election canvass ahead of a state deadline on Monday, defying Republican objections.
Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake (R) and others in the GOP have seized on printer malfunctions in Maricopa County, Arizona’s most populous jurisdiction that includes Phoenix, making it an epicenter for election challenges as they called on supervisors to vote against certification.
The Republican-controlled board voted unanimously to certify the canvass on Monday at the conclusion of a tense meeting, insisting no voter was disenfranchised. Dozens of residents spoke about their concerns, at times interrupting supervisors, including some attendees who were escorted out of the room.
Elon Musk on Monday went on a tear against top Twitter advertiser Apple, after he said the company threatened to block the social network from its App Store without explanation and mostly had stopped advertising on Twitter.
The tirade underscored the immense power that Apple wields over Twitter’s success, and the role it could play in serving as a check against Musk’s chaotic rein at the social network. If the company were to block Twitter from its App Store, new users would be unable to download the Twitter app on their iPhones and iPads, and existing users would be unable to access updates.
Apple is also among the highest advertising spenders on Twitter, and Musk sought to put pressure on the company and CEO Tim Cook in a series of tweets for pausing that spend.

The Israel Air Force this week will hold one of its largest drills in years with the United States Air Force simulating offensive strikes against Iran’s nuclear program.
The drill will take place from Tuesday until Thursday over the Mediterranean Sea and Israel. It will include long-range flights such as those that Israeli pilots might need to make in order to reach the Islamic Republic.
The exercise will include refuelers as well as fighter jets from both forces.
Washington and Israel have signed an agreement that would see the US come to assist Israel with missile defense in times of war, and the two militaries have held numerous joint air defense exercises in recent years

The Islamic Jihad terrorist organization on Monday threatened to assassinate Israel's National Security Minister-designate MK Itamar Ben-Gvir.
The terrorist organization's spokesman in Judea and Samaria warned that Ben-Gvir's fate "would be the same as Rehavam Ze'evi."
Ze'evi, who was serving as Israel's Tourism Minister at the time, was assassinated by terrorists from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in October 2001.
The spokesman claimed that Ben-Gvir's appointment as senior minister in the incoming Israeli government "will only hasten the disappearance of the occupation."
He said that Ze'evi "carried the ideology of transfer and expulsion of the Arabs from the land of Palestine and the result was that he was expelled from life...
A Ukrainian military delegation secretly visited Israel recently, Channel 13 News reported.
This is a visit by a Ukrainian delegation made up of military personnel, including a very senior member of the Ukrainian army whose rank is equivalent to one of the deputy chiefs of staff of the IDF.
They arrived in Israel in the last few days for a series of meetings with senior IDF and Defense Ministry officials for the purpose of promoting the construction of anti-missile warning systems which Israel has announced it will supply to Ukraine.
Israel has sought to keep the delegation a secret to avoid antagonizing Russia, which remains at war with Ukraine.
The Ukrainians continue to ask for weapons systems from Israel to help defend against Russia's invasion. However, an Israeli o...
Amazon Web Services, the largest cloud-computing provider, is promising by 2030 to replenish the water its massive data centers consume, the latest environmental pledge from the internet giant.
Parent company Amazon said in a statement Monday it’s supporting efforts to replenish groundwater in California, the UK and India to offset the water the company’s cloud centers use. Google, which has vowed to offset 120% of its water usage, revealed last week that its global data centers consume 4.3 billion gallons of water a year. Microsoft has already committed to replenish more water than it consumes by the end of the decade.
Data centers use a considerable amount of electricity and water to cool the racks of servers and computers. While Amazon and its rivals have discl...
The country’s fourth-largest city ordered millions of residents Sunday night to boil their tap water, citing a morning power outage at a city water purification plant.
The city’s school system also announced late Sunday that it would be closed Monday, at a minimum, as officials “closely monitor the situation.” The district’s 276 schools serve nearly 200,000 students. Other smaller school districts in the area also announced closures.
The 10:30 a.m. outage caused water pressure at the plant to drop below required levels. That caused water pressure problems for some residents that were resolved later in the day, public works officials said in a statement.
More broadly, however, the outage called into question the safety of water for 2.2 mill...
Shas chairman Aryeh Deri shouted at Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu after the Likud party was accused of delaying the vote for the next Speaker of the Knesset, Kan 11 reported.
Deri reportedly called Netanyahu and shouted: "I gave up the finance portfolio that was close to my heart, and later also the Negev and the Galilee in order to allow the sighing of a deal with Otzma Yehudit. You are going back on your agreements and this is causing a crisis of confidence with us. Shas promised a right-wing government and it will support the government, but if you don't meet your commitments, we will give up on all positions and support the government from the outside."
Netanyahu and Likud MK Yariv Levin reportedly replied that they cannot act before Religious Zionism cha...

Drivers are urged to check all of their license plates for video tolls to see if fines are owed before a Maryland customer assistance plan that waives civil penalties ends this week.
The Maryland Transportation Assistance Plan offered a nine-month grace period for unpaid video tolls. As the program reaches its final hours, the Maryland Transportation Authority urged customers to pay unpaid video tolls in full by 11:59 p.m. Nov. 30.
The grace period was adopted after more than 27,000 E-ZPass customers signed an online petition calling for an investigation into billing errors. Maryland EZ-Pass users signed a Change.org petition asking Gov. Larry Hogan to investigate the billing system.
Before the grace period ends, MDTA officials encourage all E-ZPass customers ...
Uber riders have been the recent target of violence in Baltimore City.
Over the weekend police received several reports of people posing as Uber drivers assaulting and robbing customers.
The latest incident happened Sunday, just before 1:30am outside Horseshoe Casino.
Police say a man picked up what he thought was an Uber from the valet area.
After taking the victim in the wrong direction, the so called Uber driver reportedly pulled over in the 1600 block of Bayard Street.
That's when the victim claims a second car pulled up from behind with between 5-6 armed assailants.
They allegedly ordered the victim out of the car and demanded his cell phone.
The victim said the group then hit him multiple times in the face, before getting back in the car and fleeing along with the "Uber."...
Baltimore, MD, Nov. 28, 2022 — Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), representing 2,000 traditional, Orthodox rabbis in American public policy, today called upon former President Donald Trump to repudiate the antisemitic rhetoric of two leading purveyors of antisemitism, Kanye West and Nick Fuentes, after Trump met with them at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Endorsing comments made by the Hon. David Friedman, former United States ambassador to Israel, CJV urged Mr. Trump to recognize "You are better than this."
“A former President does not enjoy the luxury of meeting over dinner with any oddball," said CJV Vice President Rabbi Dov Fischer, "especially when that fool is a self-declared hater. It was wrong for former President Obama to affiliate with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farr...
As part of its coalition negotiations, the United Torah Judaism (UTJ) party is working to find solutions for the Charedi community's housing crisis.
According to haredi businessman Rabbi Zvi Rabinsky, who serves as a member of the Degel Hatorah faction's Housing Committee, all the solutions proposed thus far "put the couples in a coma": For a Charedi couple wishing to purchase an apartment at a reasonable price, there is no option other than integrating into existing Charedi communities to mixed cities in the periphery.
"The solutions we are speaking about now are things that will be relevant in another seven years," he explained in an interview with Kol Hai Radio. "This puts people in a coma."
"A couple getting married now is going to rent an apartment for seven or eight...
Israel is preparing for the possibility that Iran will try to avenge the elimination of its senior officer in Syria, which Iran has blamed on Israel.
According to a report on Kan 11 News on Sunday, the fear is that Iran intends to take revenge on whoever is responsible for the assassination of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards officer, Daoud Jaafari. The heads of the Revolutionary Guards participated in Jaafari's funeral, which indicates his status and role in the organization.
Last Thursday, Kan 11 News reported that Israel increased the security detail for senior security officials staying abroad, with an emphasis on former senior Mossad officials. This move came into effect a few weeks ago, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The main sticking point in the coalition negotiations between the Likud party and Religious Zionism is responsibility for the Civil Administration and the creation of a policy for settlement and destruction, Israel Hayom reported.
According to the report, Religious Zionism has noted that the Civil Administration ignores illegal construction by Arabs while dealing harshly with the same actions by Jews. The party's chairman, MK Bezalel Smotrich, wishes his party to take responsibility for the Civil Administration, with the intention of "ending the takeover of Area C" and making it easier for Jews to build in the area.
Under the Oslo Accords, Judea and Samaria was divided into three areas. Area C is under Israeli military and civilian control. Area A refers to parts of the re...

Among those present at the meeting were Chaim Silberstein and Ran Ishay, two members of the “Keep Jerusalem” organization, which aims to promote research and policy regarding the preservation of Jerusalem as the united capital of Israel.
Pierre Poilievre said during the briefing that "during the election campaign I said that I recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and today as the leader of the opposition, the...
