A suspected shooter is in custody after Oakland County, Michigan, police responded to an "active shooter" at Oxford High School, where police say "there are multiple victims."
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday afternoon that it had a suspect in custody.The 15-year-old gunman gave himself up when police arrived
"We do not believe there are any others at this time," according to a news release, referring to suspects.
Officers were searching the school for possible additional victims.
All evacuated students were being relocated to a nearby store for reunification with relatives.
Oxford is about 45 miles north of Detroit.

State witness Nir Hefetz, a former adviser to former premier Benjamin Netanyahu, took the witness stand on Tuesday in the Jerusalem District Court.
After the hearing on Case 2000 concluded for the day, Hefetz asked that his interrogation in Case 4000 be held behind closed doors.

U.S. stocks took a leg down after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell warned the omicron variant could result in a faster path to tapering.
The Dow Jones Industrial average tumbled over 500 points or 1.5% while S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite slipped 1.4% each.
Powell told members of Congress on Tuesday that the omicron variant could mean policymakers may need to speed up the pace of previously outlined tapering plans. He also noted the U.S. will get a clearer picture on the variant in about ten days.

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is set to tell Congress on Tuesday that the omicron variant could threaten the U.S. labor market and cloud the inflation forecast.

Transportation Minister Merav Michaeli (Labor) on Monday submitted to the Ministry of Justice an amendment to the traffic regulations, the purpose of which is to allow the public the opportunity to order public transportation services from private companies during Shabbat, Channel 12 News reported.
According to the report, the amendment will allow passengers to book a public vehicle that can transport eight or more passengers by prior reservation and payment by technological means, without subsidy from the state.
The service offered in the amendment is a complementary service to organized transportation at an unsupervised price, while reducing the regulation that requires those to travel only with the booking and payment of one customer.

It was a big "win" for the Afghan women’s youth development soccer team. The girls, many in their teens, plus coaches and family, 130 in all, arrived recently at a London-area airport. The girls are happy and grateful after their lives had been threatened by Afghanistan's new, harsh Taliban rulers, who oppose many freedoms and rights for women -- especially in sports.

Baltimore, MD - Nov. 30, 2021 - Sunday evening, the first light of Chanukah, was celebrated at Baltimore’s Downtown Esther Anne Menorah by Mayor Brandon Scott, public officials and a cadre of Chabad Shluchim led by senior Maryland region Shliach Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan. Due to Covid concerns there was only limited participation by the public.
