Sen. Mitt Romney says he is recovering after a fall over the weekend that knocked him unconscious and led to “a lot of stitches.”
The 73-year-old Utah Republican said that he “took a fall” while in Boston as he was visiting his son and grandchildren.
Romney told reporters Monday he went to a hospital to get stitches.

Reports over the past 36 hours indicate that Ben Gurion Airport is likely to reopen on Sunday, March 7. It should be noted that this decision is probable, but not final. Pending final govt approval, schools to reopen for grades 7-10, restaurants allowed outdoor dining
Israel will move ahead with easing the COVID-19 coronavirus-induced restrictions next Sunday, the Health Ministry and Prime Minister's Office announced on Monday.
In cities marked as "green" and "yellow," schools will be allowed to resume in-class education for students from grades 7-10; the same will also apply to "orange" zones where at least 70 percent of the population have been vaccinated.

U.S. equity markets rallied Monday as investors celebrated the approval of a third COVID-19 vaccine and as the U.S. House of Representatives passed a $1.9 trillion relief package. The combination fueled optimism on the economic recovery.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 603 points, or 1.95%, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 2.38% and 3.01%, respectively.
Technology and financial stocks led the broad gains in U.S. equities.

Gov. Larry Hogan announced Monday that Maryland will be receiving the new single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine this week.
On Saturday, the Food and Drug Administration gave emergency use authorization to the J&J vaccine, which is the first-ever single-dose vaccine for the coronavirus available in the United States, and the third vaccine, following Pfizer and Moderna.

The U.S. on Sunday reported an all-time high of 306 cases of coronavirus variants, with the majority concentrated in Florida, Michigan and Texas, USA Today reported.
The new cases included 104 new infections in Florida, for a total of 605 in that state; 85 in Michigan for a total of 421; and 41 in Texas for a total of 102. Although various new strains are known to be circulating in the U.S., the majority of the new and existing variant cases are the B.1.1.7. strain that originated in the U.K. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said the British strain may become the most common in the country over the next month.
