WASHINGTON (AP) — Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Thursday that he was wrong not to wear a mask at the White House, after he and President Donald Trump both came down with the coronavirus.
Christie, in a statement, said he has recovered from COVID-19 after a week-long stay in a hospital’s intensive care unit. He called on all political leaders to advocate for face-coverings, as the practice has become increasingly politicized even as the pandemic has killed more than 217,000 Americans.

Wells Fargo & Co. fired more than 100 employees suspected of improperly collecting coronavirus relief funds, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.
The firm determined that the staffers defrauded the Small Business Administration “by making false representations in applying for coronavirus relief funds for themselves,” according to an internal memo reviewed by Bloomberg. The review focused on employees who tapped the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program, a key part of the government’s effort to prop up businesses during the pandemic.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden‘s (D) campaign announced late Wednesday that it had raised a massive $383 million in September, marking the best period for the campaign so far.
The figure, announced by Biden and his campaign manager, Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, on Twitter means that the former vice president will go into the remaining weeks of the election with $432 million in the bank, an impressive figure to fund last-minute advertising.

It’s fair to say the coronavirus pandemic has turned many people into TV binge watchers in 2020. For some people however, isolation is leaving them bored and depressed no matter what’s on television. A new study finds there may be a way to cure this boredom and get back in touch with nature, without leaving your couch. Researchers at the University of Exeter find that watching nature programming actually reduces feelings of boredom and sadness.
The study examined 96 participants who researchers actively tried to bore before their experiments. To accomplish this, the volunteers watched a video where a person described their work at an office supply company.

Bereishis contains many firsts. For that matter it really contains all firsts. Central however to all the firsts is the existence of Shabbos. The Torah tells us “Hashem blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on that day he abstained from all work which he had created to do”. (Bereishis, 2:3) Interestingly, Shabbos observance is not given as a Mitzvah at that time. I am unaware of any commentaries or Midrashic sources which indicate that Adam Harishon was commanded to or kept Shabbos. Moreover, Hashem chose not to include Shabbos observance in the Sheva Mitzvos B’nei Noach. Israel suspended granting of any visas to employees of the United Nations human rights agency, outlet Middle East Eye reported on Thursday.
The move effectively compels the body’s top staff to leave the country, the report added.
In February, the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) released a “blacklist” of 112 companies with activities in Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
In response, Jerusalem announced it was suspending ties with the global body.

Israel’s Coronavirus Cabinet lifted Thursday several lockdown restrictions amid the recent decrease in morbidity across the country.
As of Sunday, kindergartens, small businesses that receive no costumers, and take away services will reopen.
During the meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu branded the country’s second nationwide lockdown a “success,” saying other states are taking Israel as an example for curtailing the virus spread.
“Other countries, in Europe in particular, are beginning to talk about it [lockdown] and examine it as morbidity already exceeded us in several countries,” Netanyahu said during a meeting of the Coronavirus Cabinet, outlet Ynet reported.
