Watch out for the “Mad Dog” when the sun goes down. That’s the message Sunday from Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, whose nickname has been used by President Donald Trump on Twitter. The Pentagon chief is a battle-hardened, tough-talking retired Marine Corps general who was entrusted with some of the most challenging commands in the military. So what might you expect him to say when asked, “What keeps you awake at night?” Maybe another missile launch from North Korea? An attack by Islamic State militants? An incident in the South China Sea? “Nothing,” he tells CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “I keep other people awake at night.”

They explain this is a deal breaker which will result in the coalition government breaking apart.

Rishon L’Tzion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita released a psak on motzei Shabbos during his weekly shiur that soldiers compelled to attend an event that includes ‘kol isha’ should bring a sefer, take out one’s [reading] glasses and show ostentatiously that one is not listening to the singing but one’s head is occupied learning Torah. While speaking about women performing, he explains that when he must attend a ceremony in his official capacity, at times there is a female performer. He explains he would take a small sefer in hand and take out his glasses and look at the sefer directly opposite his eyes to most conspicuous. This way, others in the area, including the prime minister and president, would see he is not listening to the female performer as his head is ...

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said Sunday he’s considering banning laptops from the passenger cabins of all international flights to and from the United States. That would dramatically expand a ban announced in March that affects about 50 flights per day from 10 cities, mostly in the Middle East. The ban prevents travelers from bringing laptops, tablets and certain other devices on board with them in their carry-on bags. All electronics bigger than a smartphone must be checked in. Kelly was asked on “Fox News Sunday” whether he would expand the ban to cover laptops on all international flights into and out of the U.S. His answer: “I might.” The current U.S. ban applies ...

Israel Police report that they will soon be using a traffic balloon as part of its fleet of vehicles monitoring traffic and combating accidents on the nation’s roadways. At present, helicopters, which are expensive to operate, record major traffic violations but the balloon will be deployed in their place, operating more efficiently and far less expensive. It is explained the balloons are a very cost-effective method of monitoring traffic as the device can be folded and placed in a trunk of a vehicle and deployed when required, using limited manpower and providing a wider range of vision that on receives from choppers.
